Sara Jo Cox

Sara was born April 10, 1939 in Conyers, Georgia and passed away July 18, 2014 in McDonough, Georgia. Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll W. Cox. Sara was a devoted wife, mother, and friend, always placing the needs of others before her own. She was a homemaker and she retired from Clayton County Board of Education after 21 years of service. While residing in Locust Grove, Georgia, Sara became a member of Landmark Baptist Church led by minister David O'Steen. Sara is survived by six children: Donna C. Holcombe, Rebecca C. Duffey, Robert Perry Jarrell, Carroll W. Cox, Jr., Richard H. Cox, and Jeffrey F. Cox, 14 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Her family will love her and miss her. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 21, 2014 at 11:00 am at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David O'Steen officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Monday from 10:00 am until hour of service.
