Sarah Booth Brown

Sarah Booth Brown, 81, of Cumming, Georgia passed away on October 19, 2022. 

Sarah was born in Webster, Florida on October 14, 1941. She graduated from Groveland High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and a Master's degree from Florida State University. She moved to Daytona Beach, Florida in 1965 where she lived until 2021.

Sarah worked for Volusia County Schools in Daytona Beach, Florida for 37 years. Starting as an English teacher at Seabreeze High School, she worked her way through the School System in various capacities, most notably as Director of Chapter One/Title One. She was also a talented Grant writer, and through her efforts the school system was awarded many Federal Grants. A lifelong learner, Sarah loved reading and traveling, going to many places all over the world. 

Sarah is survived by her daughter Elizabeth L. (Brown) Lewis and son-in-law Gregg Lewis, both of Cumming, Georgia. She is also survived by granddaughters Jacqueline Lewis of Durham, NC and Katherine Lewis of Atlanta, Georgia. 

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 23 at 1 PM at Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, Georgia followed by a Graveside service at 2:00 PM at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, Georgia. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Ingram Funeral Home.
