Sarahleen Pendley Garrett

Sarahleen Pendley Garrett, 89, a lifelong resident of Forsyth County passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023. Sarah was a wonderful mother, and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was a hairdresser for over 50 years only retiring after the birth of her third grandchild. Sarah was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church and a prayer warrior. She loved gardening and feeding her hummingbirds. She took care of her family and friends with her giant poundcakes and by traveling to cut hair for those who could no longer travel. Sarah is preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Garrett; parents, John and Stella Pendley and her siblings, Marvin and Helen Pendley, Marie Pendley and Manord Pendley; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Harlan Adkins, Doyce and Jesse Perry and JoAnn and George Morris.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jeff Hendricks; grandchildren, Garrett Hendricks, Graham Hendricks and Elise Hendricks; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank and Joyce Garrett, Jack and Barbara Garrett and Roger and Elizabeth Garrett; sister-in-law, Louan Pendley. Many special nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 20, at 4:00 p.m. at Harmony Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Sorrells and Rev. Sam Castleberry officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 3:30 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
