Sheryle Johnson Pirkle

Sheryle Johnson Pirkle was peacefully called to her heavenly home Friday, December 22, 2023 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was 69 years young.

Born (August 31, 1954) and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Sheryle and her family moved to Forsyth County in 1973. Here she made many dear friends, raised her family, spent countless hours at church, and never met a stranger.

Sheryle spent the majority of her working years in corporate America for AT&T and Lucent Technologies. She retired early in 2001 and began her final career as a bus driver for Forsyth County Schools. Not one for idle hands, Sheryle worked at Pruitt’s Furniture and Unique Sports in between routes. She retired from the Forsyth County School System in 2016.

Sheryle loved spending her time with family. She would often take spontaneous “field trips” with her daughter, niece, nephew and younger cousins to anywhere and everywhere. She had a passion for people and spent her life doing for and thinking of others. She will always be remembered for her servant’s heart, humor, expert planning skills, and hoarding tendencies.

Sheryle is survived by her daughter Shelley (Stephen) Pritchett; two granddaughters Sadie and Stella Pritchett; brother Steve Johnson; sisters Sharon (Gene) Bagby, Bobbie Sue (Steve) Cowart, and Caryn (David) Burton; aunt Sue Johnson; nephew Corey (Jessica) Bagby and niece Jordan (Joel Gary) Bagby. She also is survived by great nephews, Peyton and Hayes Bagby and many beloved cousins.

Sheryle is having a heavenly reunion with her father Loran Johnson; grandmother Ruby Johnson; grandfather Gart Johnson; and uncle Bobby Johnson.

Please join us Friday, December 29th to celebrate her life at Ingram Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11 am with the memorial service starting at 1 pm with Rev. Danny Bennett officiating.
