Shirley May Mooney

Shirley Mae Mooney 71,was born June 12, 1943 in Greenville SC to Leonard Issac and Annie Hendrix. They moved back to Georgia in the early 1950's. Shirley spent many years babysitting and was a caregiver to her sister and mother. She was a member of Settingdown Baptist Church in Cumming.

She was proceeded in Death by, Her parents, Siblings, Ed Hendrix, Jimmy Hendrix, Bobbie Hendrix, and Martha Whitt, Niece Kimberly Whitt, Nephew Donnie Hendrix. In Laws Will Mooney, Hoyt Mooney, Gwen Mullinax, and Jean Dinsmore.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years Rosco Mooney. Mother in law Dora Mooney. Sister Mattie (Roy) Mann. In laws Lonzo and Betty Mooney.

Those that she called her children Leonard and Nancy Hendrix, Michael and Polly Whitt, Amy and Michael Gearino, Pam and Rex Heard, and Darlene Carnes. Grandson Jesse Gearino. Nieces and Nephews: Joann Wood, Randy and Julie Mann, Greg and Erika Mann, Scott and Carla Hendrix, Mark and Betty Hendrix. Rachel and Tommy Oglesby, Sharon Roxi Mullinax, Kathy Corley,Anita Phillips, Tim Mooney, Darin Mooney, and Chris Mooney. Numerous Great and Great great nieces and nephews, Cousins and Friends also survive, Special Neighbors Jack and Mary Shirley.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday May 13, 2015 at Sawnee View Gardens. Tony Estes will Officiate. In lieu of flowers, Donations to Byars funeral home in Shirley's name are appreciated to help cover funeral cost.
