Shirley Farrahar

Shirley Farrahar, age 73, passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. She leaves behind her loving husband of 51 years, Larry Farrahar. Shirley has been a dedicated Wife, Mother, and Nana, to her family. She leaves behind 4 children and 11 grandchildren. Charlie and Stacey Farrahar (Erin, Morgan, and Phoebe), Michael and Mary Kathryn Farrahar (Kathryn, Cassidy, and Matthew), Mark and Christy Farrahar (Brett, Drew, and Haley), and Debra and Stephen Curl (Kady and Stephen Jr.). Her love for Larry, life and travel allowed her to experience things many of us will only dream of. She could be as tough as nails and soft as butter in the same moment. She never wavered from her expectations, but understood that character was most important to her and was not fooled by false pretense. Shirley was loved by all and offered enduring love. Her presence was one that is unforgettable. During her most difficult years with health issues, she always welcomed her family and friends with a smile. Lets rejoice in her life, love and dedication so all can help bring the passing of her to life, as she would have wanted.
