Sierra Sue Nixa

Sierra Sue Nixa, 70, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2024 surrounded by family and friends.  Born on November 25th, 1953, and was the daughter of Clara and Cleatis Bridgewater. 

 She grew up in Macomb, Illinois and attended school at Macomb Senior High School. Later she went on to obtain her registered nursing degree from Southeastern in Burlington, Iowa. Sue went on to have a successful career as a Registered Nurse. 

 Sue will be deeply missed by her loving children, Shane (Karen) Yard of Bloomington, Illinois and Amy (Jeff) Hager of Cumming, Georgia, grandchildren Matthew, Jonathan, Abigail, Emma and Anna, great grandchildren Henry and James, all her siblings, nieces and nephews, and numerous other family members and friends. Sue was proceeded in death by her husband, Kent David Yard, and her parents. Sue was known for her kind heart, sense of humor, and unwavering support for those around her. 

 Funeral service will be held at a later date. Sue will forever be remembered for her love, wisdom, and strength. May she rest in peace.
