Stacey Reid, born into a farm family, learned vegetation and landscaping while working with his dad. He became a steward of the soil and a landscape designer, both residential and commercial. He had a real talent for satisfying his clients. People simply loved his work and generosity. He loved family, friends and children. He eagerly looked forward to having a family with children. He was married to Susan Stowers and reared three wonderful children. He obtained guardianship of another, William Brown. Some years later he obtained a young child for the Reid family, Julien Reid. He was a proud dad who enjoyed and supported the chosen activities of the children. He had a big heart, wanting to help others, many of which he did. He handled any trials and tribulations that came his way the best way he could with grace and determination.  Stacey valued many friends and loved his children’s friends. They enjoyed his playful nature. He enjoyed time with his companion, Lori Shockley and spent time adding beauty to their home and property, a work of love. Stacey struggled with an extended health crisis which caused a steady decline in strength and endurance. 

He is survived by his sons, Austin Baylee Reid, Rachael White, of Cumming, GA, Tobie Mickey Johnson, of Canton, GA, Dustin Keith Sharp, of Roswell, GA, Parents, Pat & Harold Reid, of Cumming, GA, brother, Brian Reid (Tim Copeland), of Cumming, GA other relatives include, William Brown, Julien Reid, companion, Lori Shockley, aunts, uncles, cousins, & former wife, Susan Reid.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, V.C. & Eva Millwood, E.H. & Louise Reid, uncle & aunt, Tony & Kathy Reid, and six maternal uncles, & six maternal aunts.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday June 04, 2022 at the Reid Farm on Majors Road. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Reid Farm. Interment will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery.
