Starlin "Jack" Jarvis, Sr. of Cumming, Georgia, went to his eternal home Friday, March 6, 2015. Mr. Jarvis is survived by his wife Phyllis Jarvis; children William, Deborah, Steve, Lee and Jack; sister Janice Johnson; grandchildren Timothy, Thad, Taylor, Bailey, Nora and Zoe. Jack was strong in his Christian faith and shared his testimony and the Gospel on every opportunity. Jack retired from General Motors after 38 years of service. He was known to have a tool for everything and could fix anything. Funeral arrangements are provided by Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015 and on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. A chapel service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Schmid officiating. The funeral home is located at 210 Ingram Ave. in Cumming. Mr. Jarvis will then travel to his hometown Birmingham, Alabama. He will rest at Bivens Chapel Cemetery with his mother Lucille, his father Troy and his brother Billy.
