Stephen Talmadge Weese

Stephen Talmadge Weese, of Cleveland, GA passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family after succumbing to lung cancer at the age of 77. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.

Born in Cherokee County, GA, February 4, 1934 to Ruby and Lewis Weese, Steve was an accomplished Master Carpenter, Thirty-Second Degree Shriner and a past Master of the Gwinnett Daylight Masonic Lodge No. 744.

Steve was a highly respected and sought after construction superintendent during his career and was responsible for numerous large successful building projects.

Steve is survived by his wife, Sarah Hurston Weese. Steve is also survived by his children Sandra Petzelt and husband Phil; Terry Weese and wife Sheila; Patty Minkina and husband Ed; Kimberly Deitrick and husband Mark; Karole Davis and husband Steve Jackson; Kelly Johnson and husband Thomas. Steve is also survived by his grand children: Jeff Weese, Sarah Cole, Stevie Hurst, Cody Minkina, Eli Bell, Hunter Bell, Andrew Weese, Henrietta Davis, James Johnson, Joshua Johnson and Enoch Johnson; and his great-grand children: Hayden Weese, Wyatt Weese and Reed Weese.

There will be no funeral service as was Steves wish. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or the Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.
