Stewart Charles Birt, age 45, of Cumming, passed away December 6, 2010. Stewart was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. He grew up in Alpharetta and attended Milton High School and Riverside Military Academy. Stewart was involved in numerous sports at Alpharetta Park and his family were members of Alpharetta Church of God. As an adult, he made his living as a Construction Contractor. Stewart was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and his dog Molly. He will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him, especially his family. Stewart is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Reta Birt formerly of Alpharetta. He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, James Birt ( Betty), Kevin Birt ( Phyllis); sisters and brothers-in-law, Glenda Birt Brown ( Chip), Faith Birt Rogers ( Tony); and was well loved by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members Memorial Services will be held Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at North Lanier Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 10, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Forsyth County Humane Society. Or in Canada, to the Mount Stewart Peoples Cemetery, Mount Stewart, P.E. C0A 1T0. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
