Sue Pirkle Howell

Sue Pirkle Howell, of Cumming, GA, passed away on February 5th, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy Pirkle; sister, Vivian Pirkle; brother, Johnny Pirkle.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Tasha) Howell of Dawsonville, Karen Howell of Cumming, Michael (Laurel) Howell of Grantville; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy (Don) Murphey; sister, Elaine Pirkle of Cumming; grandchildren, Rebecca Howell, Rachel Howell, Raelyn Howell, Riley Cleveland, Amanda Dorsey; great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She grew up in Atlanta, GA. She was fun loving with a big personality. She was very musical. She played flute in the Sylvan Hills High School Marching Band. She even bought an organ and enjoyed playing and singing at the top of her lungs, even if it was at 3:00 AM in the morning! She loved tap and line dancing which she had no problem showing off her skills. She enjoyed traveling around the world with her sisters and The North GA Travel Club. She loved going to the beach with her family. She was also a big sports fan, cheering on the Braves, Falcons, and UGA.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 10th, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Burt officiating.  The interment will follow at the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
