Sue Haverstick Taylor, 85, of Blairsville, GA died Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at her home from an extended illness.
She was born on August 19, 1938, to Ben Ralph and Dorothy Waskow Haverstick in Rock Island, Illinois. She lived many places in her life including Burbank, CA, Seattle, WA, West Palm Beach, Fl, Naples, FL, Atlanta, GA, Smyrna, GA, Marietta, GA, Cumming, GA and Blairsville, GA. She was formerly married to the late Robert Harris Taylor and Gerard Arthur Indingaro.
Sue loved angels, was a believer in Christ and prayed often for others in need. She never met a stranger, was well loved by everyone she knew and was a great friend. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, painting, decorating, shopping and watching old movies. Her happiest days were spent laughing and being together with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben Ralph and Dorothy Waskow Haverstick. She is survived by her brother James (Susan) Haverstick, and three daughters and son-in-laws, Linda (Mike) Gilday of Alexandria, VA, Cindy (Stan) Redd of Cumming, GA, and Laura (Doug) Jones of Marietta, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Malcolm (Nicole) Redd, Austin Redd, Jessica Antoskow, Morgan Antoskow, Jameson (Jessie) Redd, Brian Gilday and Michael Gilday, as well as great-granddaughters Nealie James Redd and Breylin Redd.
The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the caring staff of Branan Lodge, as well as Applachian Hospice.
Visitation will be on August 11, 2024 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Ingram Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow immediately in the chapel with Rev. Mark Coffman officiating.
