Suzanne H Luxemburger

Suzanne H Luxemburger, age 87, of Cumming, widow of the late Col. (Ret.) John J Luxemburger Jr., and daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Paul M Hamilton of San Gabriel California passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband Col. (Ret.) John J. Luxemburger Jr, son John Paul Luxemburger and brother John A. Hamilton. Suzanne graduated from Alhambra High School, received her Bachelor's Degree from Occidental College, and her Masters from the University of California, Berkley. Throughout her 59 year marriage and partnership she was instrumental in her husband's distinguished military career, including receiving the Honorable Order of Molly Pitcher Award for her volunteer services. Suzanne enjoyed many activities with 'Lux' including raising their children, Girl Scouts, traveling, photography and golf. Survivors include children, Barbara L. (Patrick) Barnett of Cumming, Karen L. (James) Orgeron of Woodstock, David S. (Kelli) Luxemburger of McDonough; grandchildren, Brendan (Taffney) Barnett, Elizabeth (Shane) Bosker, Austin Orgeron, Rory Luxemburger, Emma Luxemburger; great grandchildren Shea Jones and Alexis Bosker. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 3, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Inurment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the GA National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until hour of the service.
