Ted D. Echols, age 84 of Cumming, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015. He served in the United States Air Force 1951 - 1955 and served as a Sergeant in Europe. He was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church where he had served as Sunday School Superintendent and taught Sunday School for several years. He served as past President of Forsyth County Lion's Club. He retired from Kauffman Tire Company, after having worked for several years with Sexton Tire Company and Gold Kist. He was preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Wynette Echols. Survivors include his wife of 63 years Bobbie Echols; brothers Charles (Joyce) Echols, Bobby (Myra) Echols, Gerald (Joan) Echols; one daughter, Rhonda (Stanley) Cochran; grandchildren, Zach Cochran and Whitney (Tyler) Mathis; great grandchildren, Trip and Waylon Cochran. Sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Izelle (Elbert) Cochran of Freehome, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 17th at 2:00 pm, lie in state 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at New Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Purcell, Rev. Gerral Richards, Rev. Ronnie McCormick, rev. Jerry Orr officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm, 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Tuesday from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm before the funeral.
