Mr. Thadford Thad Samuel Cape, age 78, of Cumming, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School. Mr. Cape was a Veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Ola Cape; brothers, Egbert and Harold Cape; sisters, Eva Sewell, Lora Collett and Florence Cape. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mary Cape of Cumming; daughters and son-in-law, Rhonda Cape and Denise and Chris Wheeler all of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, Deryl and Donna Cape of Gainesville; sister, Lottie Cape Sewell of Cumming; brother, Loy Cape of Cumming; sister-in-law, Betty Cape of Martin; grandchildren, Melody and Quincey Whiten of Gainesville, Andrew Cape of Gainesville and Cayla Wheeler of Cumming; great grandchildren, Harmony Pribble and McKenzie Whiten both of Gainesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Loretta Sewell of Covington, Harold and Sharon Sewell of Columbus, OH, Jackie and Jessie Mae Sewell of Newborn; a host of loving friends, and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010, at 2:00 pm at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Richards and Rev. Clyde Boling officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 19th from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Friday, August 20th from 9:00 am - 9:00 pm and Saturday, August 21st from 9:00 am until the hour of service.
