Thomas Rodney Allen, 61, of Cumming, GA, passed away June 10, 2016, at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, GA after a long struggle with illness.
Rodney, formally of Manchester, GA, was born in Newnan, GA.
He is preceded in death by his Mother, Arlys Allen, and is survived by his Father and Stepmother, Roy and Jackie Allen, of Evans, GA, his wife Rose Allen of Cumming, GA, daughters Heather Allen of Pine Mountain, GA, Amanda Sanders (Robert Castellon) of Dacula, GA, Bridgette Pippin (Donny Brown) of Forsyth, GA, step-daughter Tabatha McCracken (Russell) of Atlanta, GA and step-son Ronald Cogar of Jacksonville, FL, grandaughters, Cheyenne King, Logan Sanders, Eilly Pippin and Kyndall Sanders, step-granddaughter Keelin McCracken, brother, Kem (Pam) Allen of Buford, GA, sisters, Donna Bishop of Manchester, GA and Lisa McDaniel (Roy) of LaGrange, GA, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Rodney enjoyed life to the fullest which included travelling to many places. He had many interests and hobbies, always excelling in everything he did. He cherished his memories of growing up in Manchester and referred to it as "the Big City".
A Memorial service for Rodney will take place at Cumming Baptist Church in Cumming, GA, on Saturday, June 18 at 3:00 p.m.
The family wishes to extend many thanks to the staff at Peachtree Christian Hospice.
