Tina Chance Stowers, 87 of Decatur was called home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. Mrs. Stowers was a member of the Pendley Hills Civic Association, the Pendley Hills Neighborhood Watch, and the President of the PTA while her daughter attended school. She served as President and Treasurer of the Pendley Hills Neighborhood Garden Club. She was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan for over 50 years. She was a member of Midway Presbyterian Church in Decatur. Prior, Mrs. Stowers also sang in the choir and was a charter member at Lakeview Baptist Church in South Dekalb County for 10 years. She is preceded in death by her sister, Rose Shelton and a nephew, Dwight Porter.
Mrs. Stowers was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Michael McIntosh of Hampton, GA; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jason Hendrix, Joshua and Sarah Veal, Jason and Emma Veal; great grandchildren, Madeline Hendrix, Ava Hendrix, Nolan Veal, and Ella Veal; former husband and life-long friend, William Dean Stowers
Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 28, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
