Tommy Edward Staton

Tommy Edward Staton, age 87 of Cumming, GA, passed away on January 7, 2023. He was born in 1935, to the late George and Vener Staton. Tommy enjoyed listening to gospel music and making photo albums. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Johnny Staton; siblings, Robert Staton, Lillian Lothridge, and Betty Bearden; niece, Sherry Martin, and son-in-law, Brice Bennett.

He is survived by his daughters, Jean Bennett, and Janice (Andy) Stiles; grandchildren, Jeremy (Nancy) Hughes, Jennifer (Jason) Constable, Shaun (Sarah) Jones, and Andy (Jessica) Jones; great grandchildren, Jonathan Hughes, Natasha Hughes, Jessica Hughes, Jayde Roper, Cade Constable, Colton Constable, Addie Jones, Reid Jones, Ryder Jones, Avery Jones, and Gracyn Jones; great-great grandchildren; Everett Pritchard, Leighton Hughes, Bryson Roper, and Ryker Pritchard; several nieces and nephews, along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Cross Plains Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Purcell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. til 7:00 p.m.
