Tony David Jones

Mr. Tony David Jones, age 53, of Cumming, GA passed away Thursday July, 7th 2011 at Northeast Medical Center in Gainesville, GA following a courageous battle of kidney failure.

Mr. Jones was born October, 23rd 1957 in Havredegrace, Maryland, son of the late John Henry Jones, the late Frances Jones Garrett and the late Harry Junior Garrett.

Surviving Mr. Jones are his loving wife of thirty-three years Katie Ann Johnson Jones and their three children Roger David Jones (31), Amanda LaShea Jones (28), and Matthew Corey Jones (21); sister, Debra Jones of NH, brother, Ricky Jones of GA, 5 half brothers; Clifford Jones of GA, Roger Garrett and Bobby Garrett of MD, Wayne Garrett and Mike Garrett of VA. He is further survived by many other relatives, in-laws, and friends. In addition of his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Peggy Jones of TN and his half brother Johnny Jones of TN.

The family received friends at Byars Funeral home on Saturday July, 9th 2011 from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Services were held 2pm on Sunday July, 10th 2011 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Blairsville, GA with Rev. Ronnie Brown officiating. Special music presented by Diane Jackson, Johnna Jackson and Tommy Chadwick.

The following gentlemen served as pallbearers Roger David Jones, Matthew Corey Jones, Tommy Chadwick, Chris Long, Thomas Johnson, Kenneth Johnson with Honorary pallbearers Harve Johnson and Harry Greenmyer.

Interment will follow service at Pleasent Grove Baptist Church Cemetery located at 3454 Blue Ridge Highway, Blairsville, Georgia 30512.
