Vanessa Maxine Akins

Mrs. Vanessa Maxine Akins, age 51 of Ball Ground, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry E. Akins, Sr., father Jack Knight, sister Mary Sizemore and brother David Knight. Survivors include her daughter Velvie Akins of Cumming; son Jerry E. Akins, Jr. of Cumming; step daughter Janet Smith of Michigan; step son Jerry Michael and wife Jennifer Akins of Cumming; mother Joyce Knight of Cumming; 10 grand children; brother and sister-in-law Jackie and Shelia Knight of Ball Ground; boy friend Elmer Evans of Ball Ground; and a number of other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held pm Tuesday, November 24th at 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Coffey officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Monday from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:00 am until hour of service. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
