Vera Howard Green

Vera Howard Green, age 86, of Cumming, Georgia passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. Vera was born in Cumming, Georgia on December 5, 1936, to the late Fern and Charlie Howard. 

Vera was a member of Haw Creek Baptist Church and was a lifetime resident of Cumming, Georgia, where she worked in the Forsyth County School System. In her free time Vera enjoyed working in her flower garden and was a talented knitter who made beautiful quilts. Vera also loved to travel and experience new places when she had the time.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Harold Green; children, Richard Green and his wife Alisa, and Elaine Green Davis and her life friend Ricky Middlebrook; grandchildren, Jesse Green and his wife Keemia, along with Cooper and his wife Erin McSwan-Davis; brother Hugh Howard and his wife Patricia, and sister Brenda Wallace and her husband Larry, Charlotte and her husband Marcus Satterfield. Vera is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023, in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home at 2 pm in Cumming, Georgia with Pastor Shad Faulkner officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, Georgia. The Green family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on Sunday, April 23, 2023, from 12:00 pm to the time of service. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.
