Vernon A. Waters

Mr. Vernon A. Waters, age 80, of Cumming, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010. Born April, 7, 1930, Mr. Waters was a member of Alpharetta Lodge #235 FAM and a U.S. Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Catherine Meeks Waters; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky V. and Peggy Waters, grandchildren, Bryan and Melanie Waters and Bethany and Joseph Strickland, great grandchild, Tucker Strickland; sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Clinton Bagley; brothers and sister-in-law, Larry and Barbara Waters and Tony Waters; brother-in-law, L.T. Meeks; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11:00 am at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Vernie Worley, Rev. Larry Vaughan and Rev. Danny Orr officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens with Military Honors and Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 10th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Friday, June 11th from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm.
