Walter Michael Floody

Walter Michael Floody, age 87, of Ball Ground, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. Known as Mike to family and friends, he was born in Savanna, IL on December 9, 1932 to the late James and Delight Floody. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, James Jim Floody.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Eileen; daughter, Linda (Daniel) Burns; daughter, Michele (Marshall) Lamm; son, Michael (Cassandra) Floody; daughter, Shannon Floody; brother, Kenneth Floody; sister, Delores Gainer; 5 grandsons; 4 granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.

A U.S. Army veteran and parishioner at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Mike will be fondly remembered for the small wood crosses he lovingly made and gifted to family, friends, and countless others he encountered along the way.

Memorial Service will be held at The Good Shepherd Church 1:00 pm on September 14, 2020. Burial will be at Georgia National Cemetery on September 15 at 1:00 pm
