Walter Virgil "Wally" Scoles

Walter Virgil "Wally" Scoles, age 60 of Jonesboro, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Georgia. Born on January 7, 1952 in West Bend, Wisconsin. Wally grew up in Wausau, Wisconsin and moved to Georgia in 1985 with his then wife, Linda and their three children, Brad, Laura & Kelly. He was a carpenter by trade and in recent years was involved with local newspaper deliveries. His favorite pastime was spending time on his computer, dabbling with web-pages and never missed watching his favorite football team The Green Bay Packer's on TV. He was a gentle soul, fun-loving, friend to everyone and loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Virgil Arthur Scoles of Wausau Wisconsin, maternal grandparents, Bernhardt (Ben) and Ernestine (Herman) Doede of Wausau Wisconsin, paternal grandparents, Arthur and Cora (McClaren) Scoles of Osseo, Wisconsin. Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Scoles of Rib Mountain, Wisconsin; son, Brad Scoles of Cumming, daughter and companion, Laura Scoles and Roger Mills of Dawsonville, daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Craig Banister of Cumming; grand-children; Brandon and Kaitlyn Mills of Dawsonville, Owen Scoles of Plattsburgh, New York; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Margaret Scoles of Two Rivers, Wisconsin; sister, Rhonda Scoles of Wausau, Wisconsin, Susan Erickson of Shawano, Wisconsin; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Ken Kolpacki of Wausau, Wisconsin; aunt, Hazel Schwartz of Wausau, Wisconsin; aunt Phyllis Doede of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; his close companion these past 5 years, Tammy Hartzog; many nieces and nephews in Wisconsin; former wife of 26 years and her husband, Linda and Terry Johnson of Woodstock, Georgia. At his request, Wally was cremated. Friends and family may join in the celebration of Wally's life between 2:00 p.m. to 6:00p.m. this Saturday, November 10th at Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia.
