Weldon Tallant, age 68 of Cumming, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Weldon was a poultry farmer, owned and operated Tallant's TV and later he started Tallant's Grading. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Orene Tallant; sister, Brenda Tallant. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Louise Tallant of Cumming; sons and daughters-in-law, Matt and Shelly Tallant of Cumming, Travis and Sallie Tallant of Ball Ground; mother-in-law, Ethel Benefield of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Debbie Tallant of Cumming, sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Scott Collett of Toccoa; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Sheryl Benefield of Cumming, Frances and Larry Crum of Cumming; grandchildren, Sharon, Brody, Trent and Madelyn; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bud Sutton and Rev. Dennis Bottoms officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am until hour of the service.
