Mr. Wendell Joseph (Joe) Weldy, Sr., age 80, of Cumming, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2008. He was the son of Jeter and Evelyn Weldy, grandson of Joseph Solomon Morris and Viola Kinchen Morris. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Earl Weldy and Jean Weldy. Mr. Weldy was a member of Bethelehm Baptist Church, a Veteran of the U.S. Army during the end of WWII and the Korean War. He was a pharmacist by trade and Chief Drug Inspector for the states of Florida and Georgia. Survivors include wife of 49 years, Peggy Weldy of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and David Freund of Canton, sons and daughters-in-law, Bo and Kim Weldy and Tommy and Anita Weldy all of Cumming; grandchildren, Hannah Weldy, Connor Weldy, Jake Weldy, Ashlee Weldy and Mason Weldy; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Louis Jordan of Canton; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Robbie Weldy of Cumming; cousin, Mary and Juan Ramirez of Cumming; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Orr, Rev. Larry Vaughan and Rev. Henry Wade officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday, November 10, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia will be in charge of arrangements.
