Wiley Carey Harbuck, Jr.

Wiley Carey Harbuck, Jr., 75, of Dawsonville, Ga, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2023. 

Wiley was born in Americus, GA, on November 15, 1947, to Mary & Wiley Harbuck, Sr. He served in the United States Navy, where he met his wife, Susan S. Harbuck, an airline stewardess with Eastern Airlines at the time, on a blind date in Miami, FL. They began and lived their life together in Americus, GA, where they built their family with their son, Carey Gordon. Wiley owned his own Pipeline Construction business and loved to help in building projects both as a hobby and for the Carey Harbuck Construction Company that his dad and then son, Carey, owned and operated. 

Wiley is preceded in his passing by his wife, Susan S. Harbuck. He is survived by his mother, Mary Icard; son, Carey Gordon (Christina); and granddaughter, Cathryn. 

A private graveside service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery located in Canton, GA, at 11 am with Rev. Chuck Nation officiating. Services are being handled by Ingram Funeral home in Cumming, GA.
