William Darson Helmick

Mr. William Darson Helmick of Cumming, GA, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the age of 79. Bill was born March 11, 1936 in Nettie, West Virginia. He was one of eight children. In 1958 after moving to Elyria, Ohio, he married Margie Lewis and had two daughters. Margie passed away in June of 1991. Bill married Anna Tyrie on December 19, 1992. He retired from York International in Elyria in 2000 and moved to Cumming, Georgia. Bill was a member of Midway Methodist Church in Cumming and was a twice Past Master of Masonic Lodge #787 in Elyria, Ohio, a member of Masonic Lodge #44 in Cumming, Georgia, and The American Legion in Cumming, Georgia. Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife Anna, his daughters, Laurel Trostle (Jerry) and Melinda Payne; stepdaughters, Debbie Mitchell, Mitzi Rodgers (Harold), and LouAnn Anstis (Alan), grandchildren Ashley Calloway, Ashley Armour, Leandrea Payne, Sarah Trostle and Kaylie Anstis, great grandchildren, Hayden McGuigan, Aysiah McGuigan, Austyn Armour, Jaron Turner and Bryson Turner and his brother Harvey Helmick (Shirley) and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents William E. and Bertha M. Helmick, brother, Austin Helmick (Athelene), sisters, Irene Martin (Bill), Pauline Burnside (Dewey), Golda Johnson (Raymond), Glenna Montgomery (Robert) and Marmel Crouser (Kenny). Friends and family may visit from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, Georgia 30040, on Sunday, September 13, 2015. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, September 13 at 5:00 p.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Nancy Meeker officiating. Final interment will be at Princeton, Kentucky and Elyria, Ohio.
