William Lloyd Worley passed away suddenly at age 89 on 11/13/2018. Born: 4/20/1929 in Graceville, FL, to the late William Walter and Idell Hightower Worley, Bill graduated Bonifay High School in 1946. Bill was a veteran having honorably served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force, receiving a Lieutenant commission. Upon completion of his military service at Eglin AFB, Bill graduated Emory University with a Business Administration Degree 1954. Member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. After college Bill worked with United Motors Division of General Motors for 4 years and then started in the brokerage business with Johnson, Lane, Space, and Smith in 1958. He remained with that company as a Vice President through several changes for 60 years of service. His final company was Wells Fargo, where he was the oldest tenured employee in the entire corporate organization. A long time resident of Sandy Springs and member of the Atlanta Athletic Club, Bill and his wife Joan were avid gardene rs with an extensive collection of native plants and flowers. Pre-deceased in death by his wife Joan Carrol Benedict and his brother Ernest Doyle. Four living sisters are Nell Coker of Panama City, FL, Emma Lee Coker of Panama City, FL, Maddalene Anderson of Graceville, FL, and Waldean Redmond and husband Eddie of Clayton, AL. Along with many nieces and nephews.
