William M. Miller, 80, of Sandy Springs, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Henry and Loretta Miller. Bill attended St. Charles Borromeo Grade School and St. Ignatius High School.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He attended the Defense Language Institute at the Presidio in Monterey, California, and served as a cryptanalyst stationed in Alaska, Canada and in Washington D.C. as part of a national security detail.
Bill went on to attend Georgetown University, graduating with B.S. in Political Science and International Affairs. He continued his life-long career in civil service, working in Washington D.C., Chicago and Atlanta, where he retired as the Director of Housing and Urban Development.
Bill is survived by his wife of 42 years, Maria; his children, Michael Miller, Catherine Miller McMasters, Patricia Fennelly and their spouses; and granddaughters Mairead Fennelly and Skylar Miller. Bills favorite role was that of adoring grandfather Baga.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Bill was an active member of St. Judes for over 30 years.
Interment at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga on Thursday, April 5, 2012
