William Maurice Jones

William Maurice Jones, age 84, of Dawsonville, GA passed away Sunday May 12, 2019. He was of the Baptist faith and a Deacon of his church. He was a member of The Rock of Cumming. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp, part of the Air Wing, and a member of the International Rifle Team, where he had traveled to over 120 countries. He is preceded in death by his parents, Shorty and Mabel Jones and his sister, Patricia Marie Carroll.

He is survived by his wonderful wife of 57 years, Annette Jones, of Dawsonville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Randall Kizer, and their daughter RubyAnn of Jacksonville, FL; son, Jeffery Jones, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; daughter, Susan Jones, of Dawsonville, GA.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home between 10 and 11 am on the day of the service.
