William “Bill” Moore

William “Bill” Moore, 80 of Cumming, GA passed away April 12, 2024,surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Horace and Mary Pence Moore. He was a native of Roswell, GA and lived in Hickory Flat in Cherokee County. Mr. Moore served in the US Navy as an air traffic controller. After serving our country Bill went to work for the USPS and retired after 31 years as the Postmaster in Canton, GA. Mr. Moore was a farmer at heart and raised Simmental cattle, Kiko registered goats, emus, and rheas. Bill was a member of Cumming Baptist Church and was in the Friends In Faith Sunday School Class. 

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Robin Lorraine; granddaughter, Macy Gail; brother, David. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Brenda “Mimi”; son and daughter in-law, Darren & Leslie; daughter and son in-law, Adrienne & Andrew; grandchildren, Greg & Brittany, Megan, Mary Catherine, Abigail, Jackson, Blake, Benjamin; great grandchildren, Gage, Kane, Zane, Lila, Harlan; brother, Tim; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held 12:00 pm Monday, April 22, 2024, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie Archer officiating, Inurnment will follow 10:00 am Tuesday, April 23, 202 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA with the Veterans Alliance performing military honors. The family will receive friends Monday, April 22, 2024, from 9:00 am until time of service at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Ave., Cumming, GA 30040. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Cumming Baptist Church, or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
