William Patterson Hughes

William Patterson Hughes, age 75, of Cumming, passed away peacefully at home on March 27, 2014. He was a deacon of Concord Baptist Church for over 40 years and one of the Sunday greeters. He also held several offices there. Mr. Hughes was a Veteran of the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his wife of over 30 years, Betty Jean Thomas Hughes, brothers, Johnny and Roger Hughes. Mr. Hughes is survived by his wife of 3 years, Flora Bailey Hughes of Cumming; daughter and son in law, Pamela Jean and Steven I. Cochran of Cumming; sons, and daughters in law, Calvin and Sandra Gross of Cumming, Kyle and Laura Bailey of Dawsonville, Scott and Heather Bailey of Jasper, and John Bailey of Cumming; brother, Curtis Hughes of Cumming; sister, Eleanor Rogers of Woodstock; brother in law and sister in law, Raymond (Buddy) and Peggy Thomason of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Marcus and Kayla Cochran and Jonathan Cochran of Cumming; great grandchildren, Cayden, Ezekiel, Kyra and Jeremy Cochran and several other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Service for Mr. Hughes will be Sunday. March 30, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Reverend's, Scott Gilbert, Shaun Wright and Rubin Smith officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday and Saturday from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
