William Roger Bennett

William Roger Bennett, age 72 of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012 of cancer. Roger was born in Buford, Georgia to Luther and Winnie Bennett. He was a member of First Baptist Church Atlanta. He was a caring brother and a good friend. He loved his family, his friends, and his church. Roger worked for many years in the hospitality business at Atlanta Visitor and Business Bureau and at Learning Tree International where he was Atlanta Education Center Coordinator. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas and Mack; his adopted son, Jack. He is survived by his sisters Ruth Martin; Jane Whiteside and her husband, Wendell; Anne Preston and her husband, Gary; several nieces and nephews; two grand nieces and eight grand nephews; and one great-grand nephew. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 14th at 11:00 am at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Several of Roger's favorite songs will be played. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Ave., Cumming, Georgia 30040, 770-887-2388.
