William Leonard Sexton

William Leonard Sexton, age 82, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022. He was born in 1940, to the late Harley and Cora Mae Sexton. Leonard was a member of Silver City Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved traveling and attending numerous gospel singings and conventions, including the Red Back Hymnal singings and the singings at the Piedmont Club House. Leonard loved making people laugh and smile. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his special uncle and aunt, Olen and Selma Sexton.

He is survived by his children, Rev. William Talbot (Karen) Sexton, Marsha (John) Lewis, and LeighAnn (Jason) Dyer; sister, Louise Sexton; 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren with one on the way; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 24, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
