Willie Howard (Dick) Phillips, 83, of Alpharetta passed away Monday, April 10, 2017. A truck driver for many years, Dick was a great animal lover and loved to tinker with anything. He was the self-proclaimed mayor and security guard at Hidden Lakes Assisted Living. Survivors include his wife, Bernice (Sis) Phillips; daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Eric Grantham of Free Home, daughter, Connie Purcell of Alpharetta; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Susan Phillips of Cumming, Bobby and Sheila Phillips of Alpharetta; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren; Sadie, his beloved Boston Terrier; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 13, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Purcell officiating. Interment will follow at Cross Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
