Willie Mae Buice, 78, of Dahlonega passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018. Born February 12, 1939, she was the daughter of Ivan and Dessie Bennett. Mrs. Buice worked as a seamstress most of her life. She raised her family in the Shake Rag community before moving to Dahlonega in 2006. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Buice is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Roger Buice; her children, Glenda and Ronnie Buice; brothers, Glendon, Cowboy, Elbert, Paul and Charles Bennett; and her sisters, Edna McGaha and Evelyn Barrett.

Survivors include her sons, Timothy Lanier Buice, Ivan Buice and his fiance, Christine Hatch; and her daughter, Deanna Bermea; grandchildren, Kara (Jon) Frame, Alex Bermea, Christopher (Jade) Buice, Devin Godfrey, Sarai Pistol Buice; great grandchildren, Kendra, Kenzie and Emma Frame, Camden Buice; sister, Jeanette Walker; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 18, at 2:00 p.m. at Cumming Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Caldwell and Rev. Allen Swafford officiating. Interment will follow at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
